Industrial projects can generate both noise and vibration impacts during construction and operation. Renzo Tonin & Associates conduct noise and vibration modelling at the planning phase to predict potential impacts and provide mitigation and management advice to assist with the approvals process. For large multi-premises industrial areas, they conduct assessments of cumulative impacts from industrial precincts using methods to balance cumulative requirements, such as providing each facility with noise budgets to achieve the overall noise goals at sensitive receivers. All modes of transport both on and off site are included in their assessments. Practical design and management advice is also provided to reduce excessive noise and vibration emissions from plant, equipment and operations, including the specification of building elements, barriers, enclosures, acoustic materials, active noise and vibration control and vibration isolation.
